Bring Your Summer Vacation Home

Why not extend the summer vacation this year? There are easy ways to incorporate resort-style living into your home. And no, we aren’t talking about installing an infinity pool, though that isn’t a bad idea…

Our ideas are a super simple way to elevate what’s already working with your décor, and our first suggestion may even save you money!

1. Declutter your space! Ever wonder why resort rooms feel so roomy and spacious. It’s not just because of the beautiful design. They do not have all the clutter that piles up at home! So, an easy way to bring Zen-style living into your space is to take a tip from Marie Kondo and start getting rid of piles of papers and clutter lurking around the corners of your home.

2. Use a few key accessories. You do not have to go through a total remodel to make your home feel like a mini-vacation. Start by picking a favorite room or corner of your house that you like to unwind in. Add some tropical throw pillows, a nice smelling candle, and some house plants. Now it’s your own little retreat you can escape to when the everyday grind is stressing you out.

3. Get a good night’s rest. One of our favorite parts about vacation? Getting to sleep in. It may be time to give your bed an upgrade. Fluffy pillows and new bedding are simple ways to elevate what’s already working in your bedroom. Even a mattress topper is an easy solution to ensure you get the best sleep possible. Make sure to clear off your nightstand and add fresh flowers and a good summer-reading book. Sweet dreams!
